Hackensack, NJ – March 17, 2025: Rosemary Hernandez Carroll’s story is one of faith, family, and hard work—values she learned firsthand as the daughter of Dominican immigrants who made their home in Bergen County. Her mother arrived in the United States first, working tirelessly until she could bring Rosemary’s father over. He dedicated himself to working 90 hours a week, seven days a week to support his family and those he left behind in the Dominican Republic. With determination and heart, they opened several bodegas, offering more than just groceries; they offered hope to the families who walked through their doors.

Those early days watching her parents serve their neighbors made a lasting impression on Rosemary. She saw her mother set aside unwanted clothing for those in need, and her father quietly covered grocery bills for struggling customers—guided by the belief that lifting others up benefits everyone. This lesson shaped Rosemary’s life as a wife, mother, and lifelong Bergen County resident who understands the day-to-day pressures families face, from juggling child-rearing to running her own small real estate business.

Now, Rosemary is ready to bring that same spirit of compassion and perseverance to Trenton. As a mother, a small-business owner, and the wife of a former Bergen County educator, she recognizes that strong schools and well-supported teachers form the foundation of a thriving community. By joining forces with Yitz Stern under the banner of “Together for Bergen 37,” Rosemary is determined to ensure that every family has a fair shot at prosperity. Her dedication to public service springs from a simple belief: when we stand together, we create a brighter future for everyone.

As your voice in the State Assembly, Rosemary and Yitz will fight to:

  • Strengthen schools by advocating for resources that empower both students and teachers

  • Lower the cost of living for working families by promoting affordable housing, fair taxes, and practical economic reforms

  • Keep our neighborhoods safe through common-sense policies that support local law enforcement, mental health services, and community-driven solutions

  • Defend religious freedom and protect family values

  • Champion local small businesses, just like the ones she grew up in —so they can continue to drive economic growth and opportunity

A vote for Rosemary Hernandez Carroll and Yitz Stern is a vote for leaders who share our values, understand our struggles, and will always put families first. Election Day is June 10—make your plan to vote and join us in shaping a brighter future for District 37, together.
